Thinking outside the box
ABOUT
The Centre for Public Service Reform was set up to help the Public Sector, Funders and Charities come together to deliver innovative long term models for public service reform. At the heart of all we do is to is a desire to see public services be transformed from being high cost reactive to lower cost preventative. This vision is very much in keeping with the Christie Commission of 2011, where the need to move to a more preventative approach was the only solution to our long term social problems best by increasing demand and decreasing resources. The original vision of empowering local engagement and partnership between the public and Third Sector is still very much our approach.

Director
I am a Chartered Accountant by training and worked originally in the Institute for Public Sector Accounting Research, before moving to the Diplomatic Service. I then worked in industry for a number of years before becoming the Finance Director in a national Children's Charity. I spent nine years as the Chief Executive of the Robertson Trust, Scotland's largest independent funder, before becoming the Director of CPSR. In my time at the Robertson Trust I led the development of Social Bridging Finance and am excited by its potential to bring about fundamental change in the way public services are delivered.
